Moss on the Moon

Will Carson

Sitting around the bonfire, watching the embers fly
Pin lights pierce the darkness, against the navy sky
Moonlight like a flashlight shines across the trees
Contemplating life on Mars and other galaxies

Drink, drink down the satellites (float, float, float into the night)
Bring, bring home the southern cross (float, float, float into the night)
Drink, drink down the satellites (float, float, float into the night)
Check the stars for signs of moss

Thundering through the heavens, the horsemen turn on high
Flaming swords precede the angels on this earthbound ride
Pestilence like raindrops fall on chosen lots
And Michael hovers in the sky and wraps the moon in moss

Drink, drink down the satellites (float, float, float into the night)
Bring, bring home the southern cross (float, float, float into the night)
Drink, drink down the satellites (float, float, float into the night)
Check the stars for signs of moss

The lake of fire ignites in flames for the devil and his crew
The stricken stumble through the prophecy so many never knew
The moss falls off, the moon turns red as stars fall from the sky
The Son of Man has cracked the night and the earth is left to cry

Drink, drink down the satellites (float, float, float into the night)
Bring, bring home the southern cross (float, float, float into the night)
Drink, drink down the satellites (float, float, float into the night)
Check the stars for signs of moss
Sing, sing sing unto the Lord
Raise, raise raise your voices high
Sing, sing sing unto the Lord
and let your praises fill the sky
